☁️ Dynamic Loisirs

Movement, collaboration, and a new class to start your week

Born from our deep desire to cultivate shared experiences and inspired by a collective commitment to practice, we created ON AIR—an independent platform for movement, mindfulness, and connectivity, supported by your subscriptions and contributions. Thank you for being here.

Happy Sunday! Lori Ann here. Back from our Morocco Retreat, where the sun followed us back to France—it’s 70 degrees (I don’t think I’ll ever truly get Celsius).

The trip was one for the books: inspiring, full, and anything but ordinary. From daily practice to surfing to scaling sand dunes, we used our bodies to tap into something expansive. Dynamic loisirs, shall we say?

☁️ Befriend The Body

ON AIR, we use practices of movement, mindfulness, and meditation to guide how we move through the world. Retreats are a clear expression of that. For many in our community—yoga practitioners, dancers, creatives—the idea of the body as an entry point for greater insight isn’t new. Through practice, we begin to befriend the body. But sometimes it takes traveling to the other side of the world and committing to daily practice to truly get out of your head.

While on retreat, we started each day with a morning movement practice—our signature dynamic, rhythmic ON AIR flows. One participant shared that before arriving, he couldn’t stop his brain from spinning. Work, tasks, and to-do lists were constantly circling in his head. But after a few days of practice, something shifted. The movement helped him settle. The mental noise faded, and a different kind of awareness moved to the forefront.

Stillness is an advanced practice. Most of us have to burn through the noise and busy-ness before we can even approach it. In my nearly 15 years of guiding yoga, I’ve seen many people come to the mat for the workout—but stay for what they find underneath. The physical practice becomes a way in. What begins as a workout becomes a work-in, and stillness starts to feel less daunting.

The retreat is over—but the practice continues. This week how can you befriend the body from where you are?

☁️ New Weekly Live Class — YANG YIN with Allumen Yoga ON AIR

You asked for more live classes (especially beyond Saturdays), and we listened!

Starting Monday, April 14, join us for a six-week series of classes blending creative, alignment-based vinyasa with slow, grounding yin—led by Madeleine Page, founder of Allumen Yoga.

Each week, we’ll move through a Yang Yin practice, using asana to explore one of the koshas—the subtle layers of the self—through breath, movement, and rest.

🧘🏼‍♀️ Class Details:

  • What: Yang Yin with Madeleine Page (Allumen Yoga x ON AIR)

  • When: Mondays, April 14–May 19

  • Time: 10:00 AM MDT / 12:00 PM EDT / 6:00 PM CET

You're welcome to join for the full series or drop in when you can. All levels welcome.

💡Note on partnership structure:

After covering fixed costs, 60% of the revenue from the class goes directly to the teacher. We continue to experiment with new models and better ways of doing things—where the value flows to the teaching artist (not ClassPass), especially the really great ones with years of experience.

Live and on-demand classes are unlimited for ON AIR members plus special member pricing on retreats. Not a member yet? Explore membership options below! It’s the best value—and the best way to support ON AIR.
